You’ll find us at 192A High Street, right in the heart of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. We’re next to St Giles’ Cathedral and Parliament Square, just a short walk from Edinburgh Castle.

How far is Burgers & Beers Grillhouse from Edinburgh Waverley Station?

Burgers & Beers Grillhouse is around a 5-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station. From the station, head towards the Royal Mile and you’ll find us at 192A High Street, beside St Giles’ Cathedral and Parliament Square. We’re ideally located for grabbing lunch, dinner or drinks before or after your train.

How far are you from Edinburgh Castle?

We’re on the Royal Mile, just a short 5-minute walk downhill from Edinburgh Castle. Our central Old Town location makes us a handy place to stop for lunch, dinner or drinks while exploring Edinburgh.

Are you close to St Giles' Cathedral?

Yes – we're right next to St Giles' Cathedral and Parliament Square at 192A High Street on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.

Do I need to book a table?

Walk-ins are always welcome, but we recommend booking in advance, particularly at weekends and during busy periods in Edinburgh.
You can book online for tables of up to 6 people, and you'll find our most up-to-date availability on our website.

Do you take walk-ins?

Absolutely. We welcome walk-ins every day and will always do our best to find you a table - no matter how big or small your party size is. At particularly busy times there may be a wait, so booking ahead is the best option if you’re visiting at a specific time.

What are your opening hours?

We’re open seven days a week:

Friday–Saturday: 11am–11pm
Sunday: 11am–10pm

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes. We have a range of gluten-free options, including gluten-free burger buns and patties, as well as gluten-free desserts and beers.
We also have a separate fryer for suitable gluten-free fried items.
If you have coeliac disease, an allergy or another dietary requirement, please let our team know before ordering so we can talk you through the options available and our allergen procedures.

Do you cater for food allergies?

Yes. We can accommodate a range of dietary requirements and allergies.
Please tell a member of our team about any allergies before ordering. They can provide allergen information and help you choose suitable dishes.
While we take allergies seriously and have procedures in place to reduce the risk of cross-contamination, our kitchen handles a range of allergens and everything is made in-house, therefore we cannot guarantee that any of our dishes do not contain traces of other products as they are all prepared in the same kitchen.

Do you have vegetarian and vegan options?

Yes. Our menu includes vegetarian and vegan options, including burgers, toppings, sauces and sides.

Do you have a children's menu?

Yes! Families are very welcome at Burgers & Beers Grillhouse and we have a dedicated kids' menu.
We also have activity packs with crayons, stickers and games to keep younger burger fans entertained.

Are children allowed in the restaurant?

Yes. Children are welcome throughout our opening hours, both inside the restaurant and on our outdoor Royal Mile terrace.

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome in our front bar area and on our outdoor Royal Mile terrace.
Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome throughout the restaurant.

Do you have outdoor seating?

Yes. We have an outdoor terrace right on Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile – perfect for watching the world go by while enjoying a burger and a beer.
Outdoor tables are subject to availability and Edinburgh's famously unpredictable weather!

Do you have alcohol-free drinks?

Yes. Our drinks menu includes alcohol-free beer, mocktails, alcohol-free spirits and a range of soft drinks.

What beers do you serve?

Beer is half our name, so we take it pretty seriously!
Alongside well-known favourites, we serve a range of Scottish craft beers, including beers from local and independent breweries. We also have gluten-free and alcohol-free beer options.

Where does your beef come from?

Our burgers are made using 100% Aberdeen Angus Scotch beef sourced from an award-winning Scottish butcher. They contain only beef and salt & pepper – because when the beef is this good, it doesn't need much else.

Do you have any special offers?

Yes. We regularly run food and drink specials, including our popular Wings Wednesday, as well as limited-edition burgers, shakes and cocktails.
We also release exclusive offers and rewards through our app: Bites & Bevs.

What is Wings Wednesday?

Wings Wednesday is our weekly unlimited wings offer.
Choose your wings, try different homemade sauces and keep them coming until you've had your fill. A beer or soft drink is included too.

Do you have a loyalty or rewards scheme?

Yes. Download the Bites & Bevs app to join our rewards scheme.
Members can earn rewards when they visit and get access to exclusive offers, discounts, credit and other perks - including £5 free welcome credit, 10 points for every £1 spent, and more.

Can I order food to my table using the app?

Yes. You can order food and drinks through the Bites & Bevs app when you visit, or order the old-fashioned way from one of our lovely team and either pay via the app at the end or with them. Ordering or paying through the app also means you can collect rewards on eligible purchases.

Can I buy Burgers & Beers gift vouchers?

Yes. We sell digital and physical gift vouchers, making them an ideal present for the burger lover in your life.
Our gift shop also includes Burgers & Beers merchandise.

Do you cater for birthdays and celebrations?

Absolutely. Birthdays, anniversaries and celebrations are always welcome.
If you're booking online, let us know what you're celebrating in your booking notes and our team will do their best to make your visit extra special.
